I got a taste of what it feels like to be running in the WRONG shoes this week. What a difference it makes! I thought maybe I was actually injured, but blaming it on the shoe. The test was to run in my Asics. Which I did, and I felt fine. I was waiting the whole time for the stretchy, twingy, pain to show up again in my right ankle, but it didn’t. Although my old friends the “knee twinge” still hangs around, but it never really does more than just hang. We cool.
I called the running store, and they were rather nice about it. They have a 30 day exchange policy. Return has to be within the week. Said that it’s expected that we give the shoe a chance, take it out for a few spins. Still I think I’ll try to wipe some of the hiking dirt off of it before I take it back to the store.
